Le arti orafe

Training and Contemporary Jewellery

Building on the success of the past edition, and in co-operation with Le Arti Orafe (LAO) school, MIDA 2023 will set up an area entirely devoted to jewellery training inside the Polveriera, presenting works made as part of a collaborative project with Accademia Italiana, and giving a public demonstration of their innovative techniques applied to jewellery and clothing made by LAO students.

Officina Bardini in Fortezza

This exhibition is organised by the Florence Municipality with MUS.E, by the Regional Museums Office of Tuscany, and by the University of Florence. The scientific coordination is by Carlo Francini and Valentina Zucchi, while the curatorship is by Giulia Coco and Marco Mozzo.

ABITA. Arredo, tecnologia, spazi (ABITA. Furnishing, Technology, Spaces)

In conjunction with MIDA, an exhibition dedicated to the world of home and living will be held inside the Arsenale Pavilion, giving the opportunity to have a complete picture of what the market can offer in terms of home and living.

La Mostra in mostra

After the success of the 2022 edition with “La Mostra in mostra: storia, creazioni, architetture” (The Fair on Show – History, Creations, Architecture), we continue the journey into the memory of MIDA through the images and documentary heritage of the historical archives of the Region of Tuscany.
This new research full of charm reminds us that ingenuity and savoir-faire have always been the founding values of handicrafts in their many declinations.
