Fortezza da Basso, Florence

The greatest selection of quality crafts in Italy, two steps away from the 16th-century Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

By Train

The Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence is two minutes away from the main entrance of the Fortezza da Basso and from the central reception of Firenze Fiera.

The other two stations, Rifredi and Campo di Marte, are ten minutes away from the S.M. Novella station, both easily accessible with local trains, trams and buses.

By Car

“The Fortezza da Basso is located in the heart of Florence, at only 4km from the A1 Highway, exit Firenze Nord or Firenze Sud.

Fortezza da basso is not located in the city’s Limited Traffic Zone, but near its immediate proximities.

Saturday: from 7:30 to 6:00 pm

From the highway exit A1 – Firenze Scandicci, it is possible to get to the Fortezza da Basso via the tramline T1 Leonardo, connecting the Villa Costanza parking and the station of S.M. Novella. The stop ‘Fortezza da Basso: Fortezza Fiere e Congressi’ is located in front of the main entry.

By Plane

The Amerigo Vespucci Florence International Airport is located 4km away from the centre of the city; easily accessible with a taxi and with the shuttle service Ataf/Sita ‘Servizio Vola in bus’, that connects in 15-20 minutes the airport with the S.M. Novella central station. Also present in the airport, the main car rentals.
