ExtraMIDA. Performances in Workshops

Curated by Firenze Fiera, the project ‘ExtraMIDA. Performances in Workshops’ features a series of musical events created to welcome the MIDA audience inside the most charming craft workshops in Florence and Tuscany and offer them previously unseen concerts and performances. The programme includes eight performances taking place inside eight artisan workshops and it will end with a live event in April 2022, during the next physical edition of the Fair at the Fortezza da Basso.
Eight Exclusive Concerts
ExtraMIDA. Performances in Workshops is an intimate path, a journey through unrepeatable performances, just like the works of artisans hosting them. Inaugurated during MIDA 2021 with a Bazzini Consort concert, which took place inside the historical workshop of Fedeli Restauri, these performances will allow you to discover the little secrets of the artisan art, accompanied by prominent figures of the Italian music scene.
An Eye to the Future
Thanks to the participation of national and international artists, the programme aims at creating an exclusive connection between two sectors which were severely affected by the health emergency – the world of crafts and the world of performing arts, intended in its musical meaning. An exciting interplay, born to enhance and give visibility to the uniqueness of handmade products and to build new scenarios for the future of the art world.
