Fortezza da Basso, Florence

The greatest selection of quality crafts in Italy, two steps away from the 16th-century Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

By Train

The central train station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella, is just a two-minute walk from the main entrance of Fortezza da Basso and the central reception of Firenze Fiera.
The other two stations in Florence, Rifredi and Campo di Marte, are located ten minutes away from Santa Maria Novella and can be easily reached by local trains, tramway or bus.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MIDA TICKET DISCOUNT IF YOU ARRIVE BY TRAIN

Thanks to the agreement with Trenitalia, the Official Green Carrier of MIDA, visitors with Frecciarossa, Intercity and Regional train tickets traveling to the exhibition by train can benefit from the following discounts:

  • 2×1 at the entrance for customers arriving in Florence by Frecciarossa and Frecciargento;
  • Discounted single entry for customers traveling to Florence by Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Intercity, Intercity Notte or Regional trains.

By Car

The Fortezza da Basso is located in the heart of Florence, at only 4km from the A1 Highway, exit Firenze Nord or Firenze Sud.

Accesses to old town center

Fortezza da basso is not located in the city’s Limited Traffic Zone, but near its immediate proximities.

Saturday: from 7:30 to 6:00 pm

VILLA COSTANZA PARKING AREA

The parking area of Villa Costanza is a “drive and tramway” car park. You can access it directly from the A1 motorway thanks to the dedicated exit “Villa Costanza” between Scandicci and Impruneta, both northbound and southbound. Park your car and access the terminal of line T1 of the tramway to Careggi Ospedale.

T2 GUIDONI PARKING AREA

If you arrive from the A11 motorway, you can leave your car at the “drive and tramway” car park Guidoni, located in Viale XI Agosto. From here, you can easily reach the Florence city centre and the Fortezza da Basso thanks to the T2 stop of of the tramway to San Marco Università – Stop: Fortezza Fiere e Congressi, and bus line no.23 – Stop: Beslan T1 Fortezza.

Florence International Airport  – FLR

The Amerigo Vespucci Florence International Airport is located 4km away from the centre of the city; easily accessible with a taxi and with the shuttle service Ataf/Sita ‘Servizio Vola in bus’, that connects in 15-20 minutes the airport with the S.M. Novella central station. Also present in the airport, the main car rentals.
